Writers’ Market Changes

Just a quick update on how writers’ market listings will happen from now on here, on the forum, and on our Myspace page. Obviously daily just isn’t happening. I expected a pathetically slow first quarter, but it’s shaping up to be much more hectic client-wise on top of the book proposal, overhauling my two biggest content sites (including the business content network expansion), launching new sites, blah, blah, blah. Basically, I’m a busy little bee, and can’t spend a few hours each day looking for markets we haven’t covered yet that meet the requirements, and still have time to actually earn towards my own Challenge goals. So markets will be a weekly feature from now on, which will start later today and continue every Monday.

And speaking of requirements, we used to only feature markets paying $.10 / word minimum. As one of the primary groups of writers we’re trying to reach is the $5 / article kind of crowd, I’m lowering that to $.05 / word, which would often still be a huge improvement for them, allows us to list some of the fictional markets not meeting older requirements, and should help us to avoid “running out” of markets too quickly, which was already starting to become an issue. Check back later today for our writing site of the week, writers’ resource of the week, new market listings, and more.
