Here is a list of writing blogs broken into three sections: blogs for writers (offering tips and resources for writers), writers’ blogs (personal blogs of writers or editors, detailing mostly their own work), and blogs on blogging (specifically about blog writing / management, since blogging encompasses much more than writing). If I’ve missed writing blogs that you’re aware of, or that you run, please leave a comment with the blog’s name and URL, and I’ll continually update this list to reflect any suggestions that I approve.

I’m going to shamelessly suggest my blog as a great resource for writers — especially those just starting out. It links to the home page of my website, but I’ll provide the direct link to make life easier for surfers:

Thanks for giving it a review. This is a great resource you’ve got here!
Hi Jennifer,
I am a writer who blogs. Would these two of mine qualify for inclusion?

In case the first blog seems a little confusing at first, the interviews are with one of the principal characters of my latest novel.
All the best,
Gina
Nice list, and useful content,
just wanted to tell you that Writer’s Tips is a dead link so you might consider updating the list :).

Freelance Writers Must Read These Blogs - Probably - Resource Roundup Tuesday
I’m a writer with a blog, specifically about how I approach writing – tools and tricks – as well as my journey (hopefully) toward being published.
I guess this is the biggest writing blogs list on the Web. Thanks!
This is really super website which gives us complete blog list.
Hope we will get much more list for reading blogs.
Thank you very much!

I have just started a writer’s blog, These Open Pages, that is chronicling my journey toward publication. It is currently updated every few days, and it mostly discusses my work, the stories behind the stories, as well as issues that I think most writers can identify with. I would certainly appreciate being added to your list.

My blog, Midlist Writer, at http://midlistwriter.blogspot.com/ details the life of a writer who has made it but not made it big.
I’ve been making my living at writing for several years now and have published seven books, but you probably haven’t heard of me. That’s because I’m a midlister, one of the unsung majority of professional writers. My blog features advice, news, and resources for writers, as well as insights from the writing trenches. Visit Midlist Writer for the real scoop on what it’s like to be a professional writer.
Dear Jennifer Mattern:
I have been writing articles for papers, magazines, and journals for for several years. I self-published two novels through Lulu.com and started a blog in 2007 to which I have posted occasionally.
My writing has been mostly an isolated effort to date. No more. Earlier today, I subscribed to several writer’s blogs in order to wade deeper into the writing world, as well as to add grist to my mill.
My blog’s title is explained in it’s earliest post. I hope you find it a meaningful addition to your list.
Sincerely,
Russ Jarvis
We would like to put in a plug for our website about our completed novel (a thriller named Obelisk Seven) which is described in our website – http://www.obeliskseven.com – and our blogsite – http://obeliskseven.blogspot.com – and our quest to find a publisher for the novel.
Both the website and blog have many links and posts which will of interest to and useful for writers.
