Here is a list of writing blogs broken into three sections: blogs for writers (offering tips and resources for writers), writers’ blogs (personal blogs of writers or editors, detailing mostly their own work), and blogs on blogging (specifically about blog writing / management, since blogging encompasses much more than writing). If I’ve missed writing blogs that you’re aware of, or that you run, please leave a comment with the blog’s name and URL, and I’ll continually update this list to reflect any suggestions that I approve.

Here’s another writer’s blog:
Life of a Writer
http://mistisandefur.blogspot.com
On another note: Thanks for this list! This will give me some more blogs to visit.
Added it. Thanks for the suggestion.
What a great list and thanks for including my blog. Here’s one for the ‘one to watch’ category. InspiredAuthor.com will be relaunching within the next few weeks. The new platform will include blogs from all the contributing editors (I’m one of them but the site is owned by publisher Suzanne James) on various subjects relating to writing.
Good list! Very comprehensive. Thanks for putting it together.
Thank you for adding me to your list, Jenn.
Hi, Jennifer,
My blog, Writer’s Notes, provides resources of various types for writers. It would be great if you’d add it to your list! Can’t wait to check out the other blogs that I don’t recognize!
Thanks for assembling these links all in one convenient place!
Regards,
Jeanne
It’s added. Thanks for the suggestion.
Jennifer,
Thanks so much for adding Writer’s Notes to your list! That was certainly quick! I’ve added All Freelance Writing to my Helpful Sites for Writers list, as well!
Jeanne
Thanks for the add!
Rebecca
Great article, thanks for adding Mubin.
Dont forget to digg it!

Thanks for including my blog on your list, Jennifer.
Your post inspired me to create a list of some of my favorite writers’ blogs and link to this list. There are several on my list that aren’t included here. If you like to add any of them, the list is at http://lillieammann.com/blog/2007/08/24/blogs-by-and-for-writers/
Thanks for including me on the Big List of Blogs! This is a great resource for writers and others!
Thanks so much for including A Writer’s Edge in your list, Jennifer. Very nice looking blog you have here! I’m glad I found it.
Great blog! Here’s mine:
http://neurilace.blogspot.com – by the winner of a 2003 Cinescape genre novel contest and recently a semi-finalist for the Aeon Award. (Apologies for blowing my own horn!)
I wouldnt mind being added to your list! If you like my blog of course…
You’re already on there Chris. I had added you after seeing you listed in another post from someone in the list. I put you in the blogs on blogging category. If that doesn’t sound right (if blogging isn’t the focus or I missed something), let me know, and I’ll consider moving it.
Jenn, would you mind looking at my site to see if it warrants inclusion?
(I put you on my blogroll)
I just added it to the Writers’ Blogs section Matt. And thanks for the blogroll link!
Thanks!. And you’re welcome!
Thanks for including me on the list. I really appreciate it:):)
Would you consider adding my writer’s blog to your list?
— Despite that fact that the subject matter (writing Erotic Romance) is adult in nature, the actual How-To content is not.
I did add it Morgan, but with a little note that it may potentially contain adult content (as different people would have different definitions of “adult” content… figured it was best to warn the potentially easily offended).
Hello, I run a site for writers as well and would love it if I could be added to this great list.
http://figmeant.com
Thanks and have a great day
Nice site Daria. It’s added.
Got another potential for your list, Jennifer, and it’d be great to see our name up there soon. Nice job on your blog, by the way!
JCM Enterprises

Here’s another writing blog (written by yours truly): http://theurbanmuse.blogspot.com/.
Also, the editor at Writer’s Digest also recently launched a blog that might be of interest: http://www.writersdigest.com/writersperspective/.
I believe I’ve added all of the recent suggestions to the list now, to whatever I deemed the most appropriate category based on recent posts.
Thank you Jennifer. I really appreciate that. Have a great one
Thanks for including me on this list. What a great list! I’m stumbling & bookmarking this one
And yet another. Sorry to be a pain.

Here’s a blog on ‘Journalism n Writing’:

This is a blog about my free lance auction site, it’s kind of an ad, but is certainly about free lance writing.

Jennifer,
Would love to have my blog added to this illustrious list!
Thanks for the consideration, and Happy New Year!
Jennifer,
Forget my request — you already added my blog (I was looking for it by the URL, not the title name (How to Start a Successful Freelance Career).
You’re the best
I just started a blog for writers – a place for stories started, but never finished.
It’s been contributed to by mostly friends right now, but I hope to get more contributions by other writers.
http://foreverunfinished.blogspot.com/
My site is called A Writer’s Eye and is updated 4-5 times a week, with articles on writing, book reviews, the occasional market list, and my own experiences in the writing field. I hope you find it good enough to add.
What a great comprehensive list. I’m glad I Stumbled onto it. Thank you! I’m adding you to my feed.
Want to add mine? http://bloggingwithoutablog.com
I am trying to help new bloggers as they enter into blogosphere. I also showcase a new blogger (4 months old or less) each week to get them more attention. No question is a stupid question on my site.
This is really super website which gives us complete blog list.
Hope we will get much more list for reading blogs.
Thank you very much allfreelancewriting.com
Hello Jennifer,
I’ve recently discovered your blog and I must congratulate you for all the work and dedication you visibly put into it. I think it is a wonderful resource for writers and even if my blog (Blogsessive.com) addresses to blog owners and publishers I will recommend yours by putting a link in the “Blogs We Love” blogroll section, for all the good information that you constantly provide.
Thank you!
Howdy,
.
Nice list, and useful content,
just wanted to tell you that Writer’s Tips is a dead link so you might consider updating the list
Hi, Jennifer,
My blog, 1WriteWay, provides reviews of and links to writing resources, including writing blogs and author websites. Please include my blog in your list under blogs for writers. Thanks a bunch! You have an incredible list assembled.
Best,
Marie
I have a blog about my experiences as a freelance writer/editor–I’d love to see it added to your list!
It’s called Written Expressions: the blog.
I have writer’s blog that covers freelance writing sites.

I just started Ways With Words:
http://wayswithwords.blogspot.com/
Hi-
I have a blog called “Writhing in Apathy” at http://www.larissaarcher.blogspot.com; I’ve posted articles I’ve written in the past as well as essays on working for magazines. Mostly it’s filled with stories about the ridiculous things that happen to me. If it’s appropriate for your list, please add it.
Thanks!
Larissa
I’m going to shamelessly suggest my blog as a great resource for writers — especially those just starting out. It links to the home page of my website, but I’ll provide the direct link to make life easier for surfers:
http://www.sarahcollins.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=2&Itemid=35
Thanks for giving it a review. This is a great resource you’ve got here!
Hi Jennifer,
I am a writer who blogs. Would these two of mine qualify for inclusion?
http://dieneighbour.blogspot.com
http://ginacolliasuzuki.blogspot.com
In case the first blog seems a little confusing at first, the interviews are with one of the principal characters of my latest novel.
All the best,
Gina
