Weekly Writing Challenge: Grow Your Blog Network

By on August 19th, 2007

Weekly Writing Challenge - PencilWhether you run a blog of your own or not, blogs are an excellent networking tool, especially for writers. Most blog comments allow for a link back to your site in some way, whether that site is your own blog, a business site, portfolio, or something else.

Networking is vital to a freelance writing career, and blog networking can be easy to do. So for this week’s writing challenge, you should find five blogs in your niche or industry that you’ve never commented on before, and leave a comment with your name linked back to your site.

Make sure any comments that you leave add some kind of substance to the discussion. Remember, networking is about impressions and relationship-building. And who knows? You may get a few new site readers of your own out of it. :)
