Compensation
Writer compensation falls within two primary groups: regular pay and referral pay.
Regular Pay – The writers meeting specific requirements will receive either a base pay determined by the number of sites they run (some are topic owners as well as regional correspondents), or they’ll receive a percentage of ad revenues – they’ll receive whichever is higher (look at the guaranteed base as more of a stipend until your site is earning more ad revenue).
Referral Pay – Writers can earn more through their affiliation with PreschoolRock by referring advertisers to the network and newsletter, or by referring other writers to the network (please note: I’m not a writer for the site; nor to I receive any benefit / referral for recommending the network).
Writers are also able to sign up for affiliate programs to earn additional revenue from their site(s).

Thanks for the lead, Jenn. :)
I emailed Stacey to see if she needed a writer for San Diego, and she does, so I’m off to fill out the application.
Good luck. :) Stacey’s great, and works her butt off on that site and promotions (the sites, the blogtalkradio show, she’s doing the Kidfaire coming up, etc… much more than most site owners; even network owners in many ways). She’ll also be really helpful if you get the spot. :)
