  1. Hi Jennifer,

Thank you for the link. I have to say I’m glad to have discovered your site now. It looks great and loaded with useful information.

You just gained a new subscriber. :-)

Thanks for the link Jen! :)

Dana Prince has a great post on her blog about the importance of networking with other writers (http://danaprince.blogspot.com). Besides the obvious career advantages, I think networking is also essential to stay sane. Freelancing is such a solitary world, and the internet has made it possible for all of us to feel a little less alone on the path.

Thanks for the links! I am so happy to have stumbled upon your site. I’m quite new to the freelancing world, and it’s great to have all this information so accessible.

The End-of-the-Year Checklist is great. Some good points there I hadn’t thought of on my own. I think cleaning out the files is especially important. Or at least getting them into some kind of particular order. I have a lot of pieces saved all over the place and tend to lose track of what sold, where and when.

Deb at FreelanceWritingGIgs.com also has a really nice “End-of-the-Year Checklist” for writers, including some points not mentioning in InkThinker. May be worth it to check it out.
