Prize Added for December’s Contest – The Publishing Primer

Dee Power

Dee Power graciously agreed to donate a copy of an e-book for writers she co-authored recently with Brian Hill: The Publishing Primer: A Blueprint for an Author’s Success.

I’ve read the e-book and loved it (read my review here), and I’d recommend it to any writer considering a larger publishing project, whether that be writing an e-book, self-publishing a book, or pitching a book to publishers.

The Publishing Primer: A BluePrint for an Author’s Success - Brian Hill and Dee PowerThank you Dee and Brian for contributing an excellent resource to our prize package for December’s top commenter here on All Freelance Writing.

Remember, in early January I’ll be totaling up all of December’s comments (not including spam comments, overly self-promotional comments, derogatory comments, or comments not contributing to a conversation – such as “thank you,” or “I agree,” or “great blog” types of comments). The top commenter with the most eligible comments will be receiving a prize package. That will currently include:

  • A $25 Amazon Gift Card
  • A book on freelance writing (you’ll be given a choice from three of my favorite options to ensure you don’t already own the book)
  • A copy of Dee Power and Brian Hill’s The Publishing Primer: A Blueprint for an Author’s Success e-book

The prize package may grow between now and the end of the month, so stay tuned. I’m waiting to hear back from at least one more person about contributing an e-book I feel is valuable to freelance writers, and I’m considering adding your choice of a one-year subscription to WritersMarket.com or a 2008 print copy of Writer’s Market or one of their specialty books. Those options aren’t confirmed, but they’re “out there” for now. :)

Just had somebody recommend this e-book :) I just finished writing the first draft of my book and a fellow writer mentioned it was a good resource for the next step in the process (writing a proposal, approaching publishers, etc.)
