Happy New Year 2008!

I hope everyone is off to a fantastic start for 2008!

I have quite a few things under way already:

1. I’ve upped my press release writing rates over at my main business site.

2. I’ve launched business Web content writing services over at First Rate Content (not cheap content, and a bit more than I was originally going to charge – more on that later).

3. I’ve begun work on a writing jobs board that I’ll be launching on another domain and tying here.

So even though my work week hasn’t technically begun, things are really hopping! How are things with you?

Oh, and for those heavy December commenters, please remember that you’ll need to give me about a week to tally up all of the comments and weed out the ones that didn’t meet the requirements. Then I’ll be announcing the winner and sending out prizes. Yay!

Every month I’ll follow the same commenting rules now and give away a free writing-related book to the top commenter. I’ll choose a book for January in the next few days.

  1. Happy New Year, Jenn! I’m taking January 1st off from EVERYTHING. I’m just spending the day relaxing, watching DVDs and basically doing nothing. Then it’s back to work tomorrow. I have three articles due by January 5th plus some content for eHow and some queries to send. I’m also waiting to hear from an editor who offered me a weekly feature on his website but was a little scared about my prices, so he wanted to think things over. If he says yes, that will turn into a nice, regular gig (fingers crossed over here!).

  2. I hope you had a terrific New Year Jenn :) Things seem to be shaping up for you quite nicely. Congrats! I wish you the best of luck in the coming months.

Thanks Denise. I hope you have a great one too (professionally and personally)! :)
