Freelance Writing Job Board Added

Can’t wait for the next freelance writing jobs posting here at AFW? Do you want to look for new writing gigs right now? Then stop by the new freelance writing job board that I just added to the site (it’s going to be available through the “freelance writing jobs” link in the top navigation from any page).

I was deciding between a few job board solutions, and ended up going with Indeed.com, because I’m already using them for the job search box near the top of this site, and it’s worked well here. The biggest differences are that by visiting the on-site job board, people can post jobs here directly ($30 for a 30-day posting), and it’s set up to automatically return freelance writing results (you can still search for other things, such as blogging jobs, from the job board page).

Hi, I’m new to your blog, but I wanted to let you know that the jobs coming up from indeed.com aren’t necessarily for freelance writing. For example, I get ads for (among others) service technician/writer positions at Midas Muffler and Pep Boys, both automobile service stations. It seems to just pick up on the word “writer” without further consideration for relevancy.

That’s because I had the search term set for just “writer” while testing out options with an Indeed rep. Thanks for pointing it out. I just updated the code, and now things should be as relevant as they can be through their searches. :)
