Changes to the Writing Forums

By on January 7th, 2008

If you’re a member of the writing forums tied to this site, I want to let you know about two simple changes (and if you’re not a member, why not register now?):

1. Structure Changes – The forum used to have WAY too many subcategories showing from the main page, making it difficult to scroll through everything. All subcategories are still there, and all posts are still there as well. I’ve simply created broader categories for the homepage to cut down on the clutter. You can still see links to all top-level subcategories on the homepage… just not all of their details. It’s super duper short and sweet now.

2. Logo Link Change – The logo used to link back here, to the blog. It now links to the main forum page, and there’s a text link below the logo leading back to the blog (personally I just found it a bit confusing before).

Thank you for reminding me to visit the forums again!

Aren’t you a moderator dearie? lol Oh well… I can’t talk… I hadn’t been stopping by much myself. I’m trying to come up with some regular ideas or features to up the discussions and membership there again. Having the markets regularly worked before, so maybe something along those lines (where only registered members could access them). Or maybe I’ll add more free resources that I can dig up. We’ll see.

I just had a mild panic attack. I went to the forum and saw the marketplace showing up as completely empty. lol Stupid me forgot to login (normally it’s saved so I’m logged in automatically). Geesh!

Haha, awwww… poor girl! That would have given me quite a scare, too :)

Feel free to e-mail me Jenn if I can do anything to help spice up the forum again… I wouldn’t mind tracking down markets or something :) It’d make me active again!
