OK. I really wanted to resume the 30-day plan over the weekend, but it didn’t happen. Instead I spent it being a house wench – cooking, cleaning, all that good stuff. Why? Well, it needed to get done, but more importantly I have so much going on right now that I really wanted to make sure things were neat and at least somewhat orderly so I could work a bit more productively this week. I turn into a major slacker when my place is a mess – well, not really. I just find it incredibly hard to focus.

So today – I promise, promise, promise – I will finally be getting on Day 16 of the 30-day plan. So my 30 days aren’t even close to consecutive, but we’ll still find out if I can follow this plan to write a book in 30 working days – today will be mostly devoted to setting up my files and reviewing all of my past notes and preliminary outline since I’m now a little bit out of touch with the characters and plot.

On a related note, I’m going to be launching a new blog at AllBookWriting.com.  (AllBookMarketing.com, AllFreelanceWriting.com… figured we’d make it a broader theme.) There’s currently nothing there but a naked WordPress installation, but I’ll fix that before this weekend with any luck.

I’ll be finishing this 30-day outline here on this blog, but the second outline process will be done on that blog, which will be focused on following my experiences with novel outlining, taking this current project beyond its outline, any work I do to my previously-outlined novel, and my work on the non-fiction book I’ve been working on. I figure dedicating a site will keep it off of here, where not everyone cares (let’s face it, you’re probably here to talk about marketing and publicity – not my crazy experiments). It will also hold me even more accountable for all of my personal writing projects, and will give me a place to share my thoughts on various parts of the writing process that don’t quite fit here or on the freelance writing blog.
