As you may have seen me mention before, I’ve been working on a somewhat comprehensive e-book on what it takes to get started as a freelance Web writer (and successfully work in Web writing – earning a real income rather than just hobby wage).
I’m planning to finish up edits on the e-book this weekend, and it’s scheduled for launch either Friday of next week or the following Monday. Next week I’ll be sharing a free excerpt of the e-book, the TOC so you can get an idea of what’s included, and an early sneak peek at my custom one page business plan template for Web writers. However, you’ll have to be subscribed to AFW via email if you want the earliest access (Monday)! For everyone else, you’ll be able to check them at WebWritersGuide.com on Wednesday of next week.
So keep your eyes peeled at the Web Writer’s Guide blog for the first in the new e-book series on making a living writing on the Web – The Web Writer’s Guide to Launching a Successful Freelance Web Writing Career.

I can’t wait! This feels like waiting for your favorite artist’s CD to drop. lol
Well here’s another tid bit to anticipate – while I won’t be posting an “official” announcement here until she confirms the time with me, this Tuesday morning I’ll be chatting with Deb Ng live on FWJ Radio about this very topic – E-books! And you know I love yapping about e-books.
Jenn:
I subscribed via e-mail, but can’t access the sneak peeks. I have links to them, but when I click on the links, I get blank pages with random numbers. If I click on the TOC link, for example, a page pops up that’s totally white and has 1223291616133 in black text in the top left corner. What am I doing wrong?
Leigh,
Someone else reported the same problem. I just send out another email to subscribers which includes anchor text links and the full URL (in case the anchor text links don’t go through again for some reason). Let me know if things are still inaccessible with those direct links. They’re displaying ok on my end.
I got the newsflash with the new links, and it looks like the anchor text links are being converted to javascript for some reason by the newsletter service. So it looks as though you’ll need to actually copy / paste the URL from the latest email into the browser.
Jenn:
The second e-mail with the links worked okay for me. It was just the FeedBlitz page with the links that was trying to open a Javascript window. Thanks!
