Moving On – Feedback on My Next E-book

By on October 13th, 2008

The last thing I want to do is wait around between projects – especially my new e-book series. In other words, while I’m marketing my first (which was released today) I want to be starting on the next (keeping a constant flow going so there’s never a huge wait between releases).

With the first few topics chosen on an e-book I previously wrote and am now dissecting to build the series, I’d like some feedback on what potential readers / buyers would like to see next. Here are the current options (all of which will be shorter than the first):

  • Finding Online Writer’s Markets
  • Networking Your Way to Higher Paying Freelance Writing Jobs Online
  • Making Money as a Professional Blogger
  • Writing and Selling E-books and Reports

I do have a few other idea in mind. These don’t have content pre-written and ready to build upon, but I’m certainly willing to give one of them a go if it’s what people most want to see:

  • Marketing Web Writing Services
  • Reputation Management for Freelance Writers (I’ll need a new title, but you get the idea)
  • The Business Side of Freelance Web Writing (handling admin work, time-management, etc.)
  • Advanced niches (ex. press release writing) for more experienced audiences looking to specialize

I plan to start outlining this coming weekend, so get your “votes” in now if you’d like to help choose the next e-book in the Web Writer’s Guide series.

I like the “Marketing Web Writing Services” idea. Based on the TOC of your current ebook, I think that one is a good follow up.

  2. Leigh says:

I think marketing Web writing services would be a good one. Your expertise is varied, but you always have great marketing posts and you’ve obviously been successful at your marketing efforts, so you have a lot to write about.

  3. Jennifer Mattern says:

Good point Latoya – the first does end with a sort of intro to marketing Web writing services, so that might be the best transition piece.

So thanks to both of you. I’ll schedule that outline in for this weekend. :)
