Marketing Templates and Worksheets for New E-book
Based on feedback from readers here recently, I decided on the second e-book for the Web Writer’s Guide series – Marketing Your Web Writing Services.
This weekend I outlined the new e-book. As a part of that outline, I put together a list of all of the marketing templates and worksheets that may be worth adding. That list is below:
- Full Marketing Plan Template
- One Page Marketing Plan Template (from the first e-book)
- Press Release Template
- 4 Ps Worksheet
- Proposal Template (a more thorough one than in the first e-book)
- Query Template (a new version / template or the one from the first e-book)
- Case Study Template
- Measurement Worksheet
- Abbreviated Marketing Calendar
- Client Feedback Survey Template
- SWAT Analysis Worksheet
- Target Market Planner (more thorough than worksheet in previous e-book)
- Virtual Publicity Tour Planner / Worksheet
- Marketing Goals Worksheet
- Email Newsletter Template
- Project Brief Template
- Sales Letter Template
- Elevator Pitch Worksheet
I don’t know if all of these are going to make it into the final cut. I’d certainly like to know if you think any of these are “must-haves.” More importantly though, I’d like your feedback on what’s not in this list. Is there anything specific marketing-wise that you’d like to see a template for? For that matter, are there any specific topics you want me to be sure I cover in the e-book, that may not already be in the full outline?

Hi Jennifer,
I would have to say off the top that the query letter, calendar and email newsletter templates would be very useful.

I agree. I think most new web writers don’t market because they just don’t know how. You’ll be providing some really valuable tools if you’re including everything you’ve listed.
I’d LOVE to see info on the proposal template, query template, marketing goals template, and sales letter template – but that’s just me!
