		<description>While it&#039;s true to a degree, the problem is that a lot of writers get so caught up in the networking, that they cease to be as productive as they can be in the rest of their work. I think that&#039;s more true in Web-based networking than offline events though - it&#039;s easy to find yourself spending too much time in forums, reading and commenting on other blogs, using sites like Facebook and LinkedIn to meet colleagues or potential clients, etc. So especially in those cases, I think it&#039;s actually vital to set objectives. Sure, you can get by without them, but it&#039;s amazing how setting them can really keep you focused and on-task and back to the job you&#039;re paid to do (in other words, it &#039;s just one of many cases where better organization leads to more billable hours). :)</description>

After all, you never know what the future will hold in terms of the kind of sources you&#039;ll need or the types of projects you&#039;ll work on.</description>
