Uh oh. I’m facing a slight dilemma. I’ve started preparing my quick flip sites to be sold. They all have their new themes, and this evening I started adding content and ads to one of them, dealing with free online courses.
That’s what I’m supposed to be doing, right? So what’s the problem?
The problem is that I’m falling in love with the site. It’s not the theme, domain, or any of that. It’s the niche.
I’m a total education junkie. I love to learn new things. This site is about free online courses you can take, and I set it up to cover a pretty broad range of subjects. I believe I’ve added about 7 courses / posts so far.
I think I’m getting sucked into it, because doing the digging for the posts is allowing me to find courses that I’d love to take myself (telling the site site really has the potential to be useful).
Right now, they’re just course descriptions. Before I sell it, I’m thinking I’d like to actually take a few courses and do reviews in the posts as well.
I’m pretty sure I’ll still be able to bring myself to part with it when the time comes (because I have a better domain with a stale directory on it that could be used for a similar type of site). I’m just not sure how “quick” of a quick flip this one’s going to be. I have a feeling I’ll add at least one course for each subject in the categories, and maybe a few others set to post in the future (so the site is “automatic” for the new buyer when they first get it setup on their server).
If you’re going to follow the quick flip on any of the sites I listed in my earlier post here, don’t let it be this one. I’ll probably do my first real quick flip either on the blog about green living or saving money tips. After Christmas I’ll get some initial content up on them and then do a general “quick flip plan” kind of post running down the process.
