Previously I started a monthly post series offering seasonal marketing tips for writers. I wanted to pick that back up this month.
You know what they say about March–”in like a lion, out like a lamb.”
This month, get into the spirit of it with your marketing. But forget about lambs–kick your marketing efforts up, and keep them roaring all month long. Here are a few ideas:
- Spring clean your professional site–add new portfolio pieces, remove outdated items, update your rates if you didn’t earlier in the year, or maybe even change the design.
- Join a new community where you can meet prospective clients (a forum, niche social network, offline group in your local area, etc.).
- Make a few extra cold calls (or cold emails).
- Think about a new group of prospective clients you haven’t targeted yet, and reach out to them.
- If you’ve always considered adding a different writing service, add one now.
Try something new to market your writing services this month, or be more aggressive with your current marketing tactics. The point this month is to just do more!
