Your Thoughts on E-book Options

By on March 15th, 2009

I’ve been considering some new options for the first Web Writer’s Guide e-book (which will likely determine distribution options on the second e-book in the series).

I’d like your thoughts before making any decisions. Here are the options:

  • Keep it as-is (selling the complete e-book with worksheets and bonuses)
  • Keep the current primary option, but also offer a worksheets-only option (this would be $17 rather than the full e-book for $37, and would not include the bonuses)
  • Keep the current option, but also break down some of the most important content areas into shorter reports available individually for $5 – 10 each.

I’m leaning towards the second option right now, because it would be easier to offer an upgrade to the full-e-book for that than for someone who purchased various different smaller reports.

Basically, for the next e-book (which will be a workbook), I’m thinking about making the full marketing plan template and the full sample version available as a separate purchase for folks who don’t want the full workbook, and I want to test the whole upgrade issue before getting to that point.

Any thoughts on what might be most useful to potential buyers / readers?

(Side note: I’ll be releasing another free report tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for that!)
