Rather than ruining a “real” post with a note about hitting 1000 posts here, I figured I’d make the milestone a post all its own.
So yay! 1000 posts, and what a ride it’s been so far (and hopefully will continue to be).
For those who weren’t here from the beginning, All Freelance Writing was launched towards the end of 2006 as SixFigureWriters.com. SFW was a group blog that I managed and eventually took over solo (I believe the old posts from other bloggers here were all removed so they could publish them elsewhere if they wanted to).
I’ve had lots of ups and downs trying to find the right topic areas to cover here and a blogging schedule I could stick to. Only over the last few months have things really come together, with subscribers and traffic growing significantly and me sticking to fairly regular twice daily posts Monday-Friday (not perfect, but I do what I can).
In that time, other blogs of mine also merged with AFW – first my WebWritersGuide.com blog (the site still hosts my e-book series info), then AllBookMarketing.com and AllBookWriting.com in my efforts to condense my workload to allow for more blogging on my top sites (AFW, Free Online Courses, and BizHow2) and also to make time to plan the new design and content plan for the relaunch of my PR blog (which I’m hoping to relaunch this summer or sooner).
That’s how we got here. I’m excited to see where the next 1000 posts take us! Thanks for reading and being a part of the AFW community. :)

Congratulations, Jenn! I was excited when I reached 500 posts on my one and only blog. :-) 1000 posts is a huge milestone.
Congratulations, Jennifer. You are an inspiration.
Congrats, oh prolific pal and online mentor. I CAN’T WAIT until Naked PR is relaunched. It is so missed by so many.
Thanks for the congrats folks. It just felt like a good time to take a little reminiscing time, and give newer readers a look back at how the blog evolved.
Judy – So nice to see my favorite instigator on this blog. ;) For those who don’t know her, Judy is a friend and colleague (on the PR side of things), who has an incredible knack for finding PR and social media tid bits that tend to ignite a lot of the controversial posts over on NakedPR.com. While AFW readers get to see rants periodically, you don’t have the “pleasure” of seeing me go truly gloves-off as I do there (check it out after the re-launch when I get back to the fun stuff).
Judes, the sad thing is that NakedPR still gets more visitors than this blog, and it only has 125 posts, and has been on hiatus for a while now. lol Let’s see if I ever make it to 1000 there without hanging up the towel permanently! Crossing my fingers for that re-launch next week if my coder comes through tomorrow without issues. Now if only I could remember what was topping my PR shit list recently so I could remember what I wanted to post about – all I know is it was something you emailed! lol
Scratch that. I remember what is was. In support of Brogan’s recent post, I’ll be exploring the idiocy behind the “all sponsored posts are bad and equal buying opinions” mentality. Coolness.
