NakedPR and Upcoming Exploratory Series

By on April 27th, 2009

Just two quick announcements.

NakedPR.com has officially re-launched today. While posts are directed at a PR and social media crowd, this week we’ll be talking about several things also relevant to many of the readers here including: the ethics of sponsored blog posts, links in blog commenting, tweet spam, and personal SEO. I hope at least a few AFW readers will stop by to check that out and weigh in. Just note up front that if you’re one of those who doesn’t like the no-nonsense approach occasionally here, you really won’t like NakedPR.

On another note, we’ll soon finally be featuring the exporatory series I’ve mentioned a few times previously where I’ll be sharing interviews with various types of writers. While some are directly freelance related (such as magazine writing), others are not. The idea is to let the pros offer some insight into various types of writing-related projects you may have an interest in pursuing at some point. As of now, we have people lined up to talk about novel writing, writing for television, magazine writing, and writing nonfiction books.

I’m still waiting on confirmations from a few others, and will likely need to recruit a few more folks, but the plan is also to cover blogging, writing e-books, playwriting, writing feature films, and corporate communications / business writing. If you have an interest in another area of writing not mentioned here, please let me know and I’ll do what I can to recruit someone.
