Are You Missing Out on Writer Freebies?

By on July 13th, 2009

Remember folks, I give away various free goodies for freelance writers over at QueryFreeFreelancer.com. But you have to register (it’s free!) in order to get them.

In a few days I’ll be releasing our first WordPress theme there. I purchased the exclusive rights to the theme today, and set up a test site on my All Business Writing domain name. (I’ll be building a real site there soon, probably keeping this theme to use it as the test site, but for now it’s just a generic preview.)

And if you missed it previously, I also released a static Web template (preview below).

The best part? When I release a Web template or WordPress theme, I don’t require you to link back to my site in the footer. I mean, you’re certainly welcome to, but I’d rather you be able to use them to build professional sites without “cheapening” them in that sense by having them scream “freebie” to the world. So you’re free to use them without attribution — just don’t distribute them to others (they need to sign up on the site to get them like anyone else).

In coming weeks, I’ll also be releasing a few edited versions of this new theme (different color schemes, and without the sticky post section and tweet updates on some, so those wanting them gone or to use the space for static intro content can do that).

If you haven’t signed up yet, register now. Don’t miss anything else!

That’s a great idea, thanks. I’m a writer not a designer but I still need a professional looking website to showcase my work. I’m going to sign up now
