Gig scoring tip of the day: If the hire…er asks you to send a copy of your resume, make sure you gear it toward the gig you are applying for. For instance, if you are applying to be a sports writer, make sure you send a resume that highlights all your applicable sports experience (both writing and otherwise)–not your health writing experience…because they don’t care about that as much. Don’t leave it off the resume, just don’t make that the focus.
