Morning writers! We’ve got 12 opportunities for you this morning. You may notice that one of them has an asterisk in front of it. Why such a special character for such an ordinary gig? Because that one I found through Twitter. If not for doing a little search on Twitter, I would have missed it completely. Hmmm….kinda sounds like an idea for finding jobs on your own, eh?

Gig scoring tip of the day: Many gigs ask that only those with bachelor’s degrees in English or journalism apply. In many instances, if you have strong clips to show and you feel you are really qualified for the job, you can ignore that little “requirement.” Most advertisers are just looking at a degree as a gate to keep out the riff raff. If you are qualified, they will be so into your clips and resume that they won’t give a second thought to the degree…or lack thereof.
