Freelance Writing Jobs – Your “Get More Gigs” Tip of the Day

Post your rates online. If you have a professional site, include your rates along with your services. Not only will you weed out inquiries from people who can’t afford you anyway, but you’ll save prospective clients time. Remember, every time you respond and send a quote you’re wasting time that could be put into billable hours or other marketing efforts, especially if your rates are somewhat standard. Don’t waste time sending the same info to several people. Worried you’ll lose flexibility? You won’t! Just post a rate range or average instead (and make that clear on the site). If you want people to hire you, you have to give them the information they need to make that decision between you and the competition.
