Simple Blue SEO: Free WordPress Theme

By on February 20th, 2010

Whether you’re looking to run a simple clean professional site, a blog, or both this theme could work for you. It’s a simple blue theme created with SEO in mind. This one isn’t from our usual designer, but was purchased with full rights for exclusive release here on All Freelance Writing. If you use it, feel free to share a link to your site in the comments so we can see how you’re using it to promote your freelance writing business. Please read the information below before downloading.

What’s Included

  • The coded theme
  • The full theme .psd file (so you can fully edit the design elements if you want to make drastic changes for your own site)

Jenn, I’m having a play about with this theme on my new blog / portfolio (http://www.itsdansmith.com) but I’m noticing that the sections on the left of the posts aren’t showing up (the ‘Submission Services’ and ‘SEO Services’ section on the example image).

If I try to include the categories widget in this section instead (which is ideally what I’d like to do), it puts the categories in but knocks the post down underneath, rather than having them side by side.

Any idea how to fix this?

    • I can’t see the problem myself because there’s no live version for me to fiddle with. Emailed you.

    • Just for everyone else’s reference, I took a look at Dan’s blog on the admin side, and things seem fine. It looks like the issue is a local one with his machine or browser (I tested in several browsers, and the display is okay in each). Still trying to sort it out, but I just wanted to let you know that you should be able to use the theme as designed w/o any trouble.

EDIT: Appears to be an issue specific to IE6. And given how out-of-date that is and how few people are still using it (really… upgrade already :P), I’m not going to bring the coder in to come up with a solution for an antiquated browser. Sorry folks. So if you happen to use IE6 or you think a large portion of your market still does for some reason, either you’ll need to have someone go in and find a solution for you, or this particular theme isn’t a good option for you.

So people don’t think I’m stuck in 2001, can we just clear up the fact I’m not using IE 6 by choice – it’s the choice of the company I’m working on-site for :P

    Thanks for the help Jenn.

Thanks for the theme, very nice. Is the theme fast?.
