Becoming a Career Writer | Introduce Yourself | Writing Forum

My name is Maurice Moss and I am a freelance writer in Dallas, TX. I started freelancing in 2000, but didn't pursue it seriously until around 2005. For the last 15 years, my day job was in the healthcare industry (specifically home health). I have worked as Director of Reimbursement, Administrator, Operations Consultant and Project Manager.  Currently, I am the Manager of Mobile Support for a home health company with over 100 locations throughout the US.

Since 2009, I have also pursued an MA in English from Minnesota State University in Mankato. I'm currently wroking on my final paper and hope to have my MA in 2013. Ultimately, I would like to a make a full time living as a writer. My interest vary from magazines to blogs and technical writing. I am also interested in indexing and usability.  Looking forward to becoming a part of a writing community.
