Post Moderation for New Users | News and Announcements | Writing Forum

Unfortunately this forum has been hit hard by spammers lately. So for everyone's safety (because we don't want them on here, able to post malicious links), I had to adjust our spam settings. 

Moving forward, all new members will need to have their first forum post approved before they can continue to post. Because the settings were just turned on, that might also affect existing members for their first post following the change (that's how the forum software used to handle changes, although I'm not sure if they fixed that with their latest updates). 

I've also implemented the anti-spam feature on all posts -- a simple math problem. I may disable that again later if it becomes too much of a nuisance for people, but for now I want to do all we can to keep these spammers off of the public boards.
