My name is Sandeep, and I am an Engineer by day and entrepreneur by night. I am really excited about the current project I am working on. To clarify, I am looking to build an engineering media platform, which will not only be engineering/ technology focused but will also reflect on some of the more overlooked topics within the engineering community, e.g. lifestyle and health. To launch my website, I am in desperate need of skilled and creative content writers like yourselves. And am therefore putting together a pool of writers.

To give you an idea, I have around 30 writing projects in the pipeline. Topic themes range from personal development, entertainment, sustainability, notable engineers/ individuals, to innovations to global challenges.


Currently, I am curating content from some sources. So for your writing assignment, please only use the curated material as building blocks for your article. Ideally, you work should just refer to/ summarise the curated text/ video in 2 sentences or a single paragraph.

Please for your research refer to the most recent academic journals or scientific studies. Please use a minimum of 3 additional external citations/ references beyond the content from the video.

Generally, I will be looking for articles to be 500- 1600 words in length and to be tactically devised to drive traffic to my website. You should also make use of visual aids (images) and infographics to aid the reader when going through the content (visual aids every 150- 200 words).
Some valuable tips for you:

Content Creation:

1. Take As Little As Possible: Take only what you need to make your point, the less content you copy, the better off you are. Try to keep the content copied in a single span under a sentence or two, a long paragraph at most.

2. Add Original Content: The higher the ratio of original (new) content to copied content, the better the new article will perform. If you can make it so that at least half the content is original, your odds of good SE performance will improve.

3. Paraphrase, Don't Quote: The SEs only detect duplicate content that matches exactly, if you can rewrite what another site has said, with attribution but without quoting it directly, the SEs will treat it as original content.

4. Use the Blockquote Tag: The blockquote tag is more than just a means to visually separate quoted content, it is also an indication to the SEs that the content is quoted and should not be counted as original content. By being upfront with the SEs, they are less likely to treat your site as spam and demote you.

5. LinkBack: Though outbound linking may seem counter-productive, as with the blockquote tag, a link back to the source tells the SE's where the content came from and that you are not trying to be deceptive. This further encourages the SEs to focus on your new material and rank it well.



The article must be divided into 6-7 paragraphs. And Paragraph(s) must be introduced with a subtitle. Each section should transition into the next seamlessly. Your writing should flow from paragraph to paragraph, creating progression and cadence.

-Start off with a brief introduction. This first sentence needs to capture the reader's attention. Ideally, start off with a thought-provoking question/ statement which is directed at the reader or even something humourful.

- Speak about the main topic

-draw on examples and other researcher's opinions and findings on the topic

-Finish off with a final practical takeaway for the reader. They should read the article and be able to walk away with some practical insights.

The article must be introduced with a significant and meaningful title.



My expectation, regarding the writing style, is to create a blend between a lighthearted topical blog post and in-depth academic article.

Please do not use excessively long sentences or complicated/ long words. The idea is to simplify technical information and present it in an accessible way. The less scientific jargon, the better. This means I would like it to appeal and be readable to a wider audience. Of course, if you cannot get your point across without using certain technical lingo, please do not hesitate to use it.

The goal for this text is to inform the reader on the topic at hand. So he walks away with some practical insights on the topic and can share it with others.
