WPHUB's blog focuses on the WordPress development community such as theme developers, plugin developers, and customization specialists. They accept submissions on topics such as design trends, up-and-coming plugins useful for developers, coding best practices, and more. (They do not publish reviews or how-to guides for WordPress.) Articles should be 800-1200 words each and have visuals. Pay is $100-200 depending on length.
Write Naked accepts pitches during limited open reading schedules. These can fall within categories of interviews, publishing trends, "Day-in-the-Life of a Writer," writing essentials, and their "Behind the Pen" section. They're looking for posts from 450-650 words. Pay is $75 per post.
Writer's Digest is a prominent magazine for writers. The magazine accepts a variety of freelance submissions including "5-Minute Memoir" 600-word essays, 800-1200 word author profiles, 300-600 word how-tos for the "Inkwell" section, and more. Writer's Digest pays $.30-.50 per word on acceptance. They generally do not pay for online-only contributions (and when they do, they pay $50-100).
WritersWeekly.com and The Write Markets Report accept contributions about selling your writing / making more money as a writer (not articles on "how to write"). Submissions should be around 600 words. Payments are $60 for non-exclusive electronic rights.
Yankee is a magazine for the New England region covering topics like travel, food, and home. The magazine pays on acceptance of freelance stories and purchases all rights.
