Freelance Writing Jobs – July 8, 2009

Filed in Freelance Writing Job Ads By Jennifer Mattern on July 8th, 2009

We skipped the blogging jobs here Monday because frankly all of the gigs I found were crap (unpaid or no more than $4-5 per post). Hopefully these freelance blogging jobs will be better. Enjoy.

Are these freelance writing gigs not what you’re looking for? Search for more freelance writing jobs or blogging jobs, or find more regular freelance writing jobs posted by Anne Wayman.

Note: If a location is listed next to a job posted above, it means the company is looking for local or on-site candidates.

  1. Hi,

I stumbled upon this article and thought you may like to try our site for some writing/copywriting jobs. Between us and a handful of similar sites you can earn some money taking on outsourced projects.

    • I used your site very briefly in the past, and still, I’d never recommend that my readers turn to bidding sites. Until one exists that focused on professionals (and professional rates) while weeding out the crap, there are much better options.

As a newer writer looking to establish himself, I am struggling a bit with where to begin in terms of rates to charge clients. From reading some of your articles, I know not to cripple myself by charging too low rates, but I don’t even know what is considered to be in the right ballpark for different types of work, press releases for example. Can you lend a hand? Thanks.
