Job Description
WebMD is seeking experienced freelance healthcare writers. Articles will be for a general audience, informing consumers about topics such as addiction and Medicare.
Pay is $50-180 per article. Each article will run from 500-1500 words.
Applicants should have real-world experience with Medicare and/or addiction medicine. This includes:
- AHIP-certified insurance brokers or related insurance professionals
- Content writers or journalists with experience covering insurance or Medicare
- Other professionals with experience in health policy, economics, or research
- State-licensed or certified addiction counselors, substance abuse social workers, or clinical social workers
- And professionals with related medical or professional qualifications.
Healthcare writers should have a medical research / writing background and be able to communicate complex medical topics in an accessible way for a lay audience.
Applicants should have experience interviewing vetted subject matter experts and have professional content writing experience. A portfolio of relevant published samples should be shared when applying.
