Job Description
Gemba Automotive is looking for an automotive content writer to write long-form blog articles, seasonal Phoenix-focused driving content, practical FAQ/how-to pieces, and human-interest stories based on shop interviews.
The role focuses on automotive content for real drivers in the Phoenix metro area. And blog articles run 800-1500 words.
Pay is $85–$150 per blog article, with the possibility for hourly pay for research-intensive pieces, and monthly retainers of $2,000–$3,500 available for 4–8 articles per month.
Requirements:
- Must live in the Phoenix metropolitan area
- Automotive knowledge
- Portfolio of original long-form writing
- Comfortable interviewing shop staff for source material
- Local publication experience
- SEO knowledge
- Familiarity with Phoenix-area car culture preferred
